PROGRAM/FOCUS
This month we welcome Jamie Strasser Ross, a formerly incarcerated woman who has made a successful reentry. At the age of 16, Jamie went to prison and served 8-1/2 years. She spent six months in work release and six years on parole. She has been out of prison 13 years. She is now married and has two sons. She works as an optometry technician.

RECAP OF OCTOBER 2016 MEETING
In October, we welcomed Dr. Jerome Greenfield, Iowa DOC psychiatrist. He drew our largest crowd for some time, with 29 people in attendance. Many thought his was the most informing program of the year. We thank him for his presentation and wish him well as he works with those in Iowa prison system and in his personal life.

UPCOMING PROGRAM
In December we are welcoming incoming women legislators. At this time, the election is still a few days away, so we don’t know who that will be.
